WELCOME, New Members of SageBrushers Art Society!

1. Our goal: Sagebrushers Art Society has a mission to povide a social and artistic learning
experience in a casual and plesant atmosphere. The Board of Directors meets monthly to address
business issues and explore opportunitites to expand services to meet the growing needs of our
members and this community. The monthly newsletter is the primary vehicle for communicating with
the members.

2. Board of Directors: Elected volunteers. We hold meeting on the 1st Monday of each month at 10
AM. Members are welcome and your input is appreciated.

3. Potlucks: An enjoyable noon social event with 50 - 100 attendees. We generally congregate every
3rd month. Come join the fun and bring your favorite main dish, salad, bread, potatoes dish or
dessert. Bring eating utensils, we will provide the beverages. See the Events page for dates of the
Pot Luck.

4. Gallery Shows: SageBrushers supports four art exhibit events per year. The events are open to
all members. Check the Events page to see the details of the events scheduled for the year.

5. Displaying Art: There are numerious galleries in Bend and retail venues that put out Calls For
Art to artists in the community. The monthly newsletter highlights those venues that are
requesting art for their display.

6. Make use of the Gallery. The SageBrusher facility has a large room dedicated as a working Art
Studio space. The work space is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It is best to call
before coming to make sure there is not a special activity taking place. The work space also has
a kitchen area for those wishing to eat while woking. Generally any of the members can work on
their painting projects at the Studio. Racks will be available for artists to store their "in
process art work".

7. Landscaping: Around the building are spaces available to plant flowers and bushes to enhance
our grounds. You may sign up for a plot to cultivate, or share one with another member. There is
an automatic sprinkler system installed.

8. Fund Raisers: Since SageBrushers is a non-profit organization so we depend upon the financial
support from our members and the community. From time to time we conduct "fund raisers" oriented
toward art. In the summer we hold an exhibit and integrate the outside garden as part of the space
to view art. We also participate in other fund raisers within the community as a show of support
and an opportunity to introduce SageBrushes to the community.
